Mykonos beaches

Mykonos is the type of island that can offer something different to all visitors according to their special needs and aspirations for their vacations. That is also true for its beautiful beaches. You will find both peacefull and cosmopolitan beaches, as well as crowded resorts, where people party early on.

Two of the most well-known beaches for their intense beach parties are Paradise and Super Paradise, located about 6km and 7km south east of Chora respectively. These two resorts attract a younger crowd, always eager to party and have lots of drinks to go with the loud music of the usually famous guest djs. If you're looking for relaxation, you are obviously in the wrong place! Another popular seaside place is the sandy Paraga, where you will find many traditional taverns by the seaside. Last but not least, Psarrou is well known for its glamorous and costly parties.

On the other hand, there are the more peaceful and glamorous kinds of beaches, which attract older and wealthier crowds. These beaches are extremely beautiful, with crystal clear seawaters and most times with golden sand. One such example is the long beach of Elia, which is ideal for sunbathing on its perfect sunbeds.

Another beach worth visiting is Kalo Livadi, near the beautiful Ano Mera, and definitely one of the most family-friendly on the island. In the same area and also ideal for relaxing with your family, Ftelia is a windy beach which is also visited by many fans of watersports, and windsurfers in particular. Rather close to the Chora of Mykonos, Panormos is a beach where you will relax, enjoy clean seawater, and enjoy cocktails or food on its beautiful sand. Other beaches in the same style and worth visiting are those of Glyfadi, Ornos, Megali Ammos, Platis Gialos and Kalafatis.

The island of Mykonos is sure to please you with its magnificent coastline and its beautiful and clean beaches. If you have many days for holidays on the island, we encourage you to visit as many as possible.
